DANGEROUS WORLD

Inspired by tough and dirty classic funk 45rpms, this was was done live off-the-floor to a TEAC 80-8 8 track tape machine; 5 musicians, 1 solid take, and so what you hear is what you get.

A jump for me from drums to guitar and vocals on this one with a bad-ass crew holding it down. The feeling was so tense and unnerving as we teetered on the edge at every second, every bar, just trying to keep it together. Ultimately just so inspired and excited. It felt so good to embrace doing something together in real time, something risky, and something so tough and gritty.

Still have a handful of these 45rpms and you can’t beat the vibe of seeing and hearing that record spin. Enjoy!

I am a producer wrkn with latin, afro, and electro influences, mainly via vocals, drum machines, guitars, synths, and and percussion.

I have a studio in downtown Ottawa, Canada where I work with a hybrid of studio equipment old and new: analog consoles, vintage keyboards, reel-to-reels but also modern day rec equip, synths, etc.
